Participants will develop important life skills such as communication and understanding how to access resources. The workshop also offers a supportive environment where attendees can share their experiences and build a network of peers. Through interactive sessions and real life examples, this workshop aims to empower participants to navigate in an ever evolving world with confidence and success.

  • This youth wellbeing workshop is tailored to young individuals, particularly those who have experiences in foster care. Facilitated by someone who has personally navigated foster care, the workshop focuses on promoting mental, emotional, and physical well being. Key topics include building self esteem, coping with stress, and developing healthy relationships. Participants will engage in interactive activities and discussions that foster a sense of community and mutual support. By sharing personal stories and practical strategies the facilitator aims to equip attendees with tools they need to enhance their overall well-being and thrive in their personal lives.

  • This seminar on youth interaction is aimed to better the relationship with law-enforcement and foster youth. Led by an individual with lived experience in both the foster care system and encounters with law-enforcement. This seminar aims to educate and empower law-enforcement on how to navigate interactions with foster youth effectively and safely. Key topics include understanding, trauma response, communication strategies, and de-escalation techniques. Through personal stories and practical advice the facilitator provides valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities that come with these interactions. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how to handle various situations involving foster youth. Participants will gain a sense of confidence and preparedness.

  • This foster parent workshop led by someone with live experience in the foster care system aims to provide foster parents with a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by foster children. The facilitator shares personal stories and insights to help foster parents build stronger more supportive relationships with the foster youth in their care. Key topics include trauma informed care, effective communication strategies, and fostering a sense of stability and belonging. Through interactive discussions and practical advice this workshop equips foster parents with the tools and knowledge they need to create a nurturing and positive environment for foster youth.
